Wet slides connect to a standard garden hose and run continuously through your event. Dry slides skip the hose hookup and work year-round — perfect for January, February, and any cool weekend below 75°F when wet just doesn't make sense. Combo bouncers add a bouncing chamber so kids cycle between jumping and sliding without leaving the unit. For a Tampa summer birthday in July with kids in swimsuits, go wet. For a December block party or a school field day that needs to run rain-or-shine, go dry. For mixed-age parties (toddlers through tweens) under a Florida sun, the wet combo is the highest engagement-per-dollar pick we have.
Single-lane wet slides (12 ft, 16 ft) need 22 ft × 12 ft of flat clear ground. Dual-lane racing slides (20 ft, 25 ft) need 30 ft × 18 ft plus an extra 4 ft of clearance on the splash-zone end. All wet slides use one standard 5/8-inch garden hose at low pressure — same as running a lawn sprinkler. Power: one 110-volt outlet within 50 feet for single-blower slides, two outlets on different breakers for the 25-ft Cali Palms (it runs two blowers). No outlet? Add a pre-fueled generator ($85). Anchoring: steel stakes on grass, sandbags on concrete patios, paver driveways, and parking lots.
Single-lane wet slides start at $180 per day. Dual-lane racing wet slides run $250 to $350. The 16-ft Dual Splash combo (bounce + slide in one) runs $260 to $340. The 25-ft Cali Palms tropical pool slide runs $480 to $505 depending on date. Slip and slides run $245 to $300. There's no fuel surcharge and no weekend upcharge — the booking page price is the final price.
May through October is peak: Tampa daytime highs sit 84°F to 95°F and Cali Palms backyards stay busy 4 to 6 hours straight. June is the highest-demand month of the year for wet slides — book 4 weeks ahead for a Saturday. November through February water slides still rent but mostly to schools, churches, and corporate cookouts where the program runs regardless of temperature. Spring break (mid-March) is the off-peak surprise — slide bookings spike for a single weekend and dry slides become useful for outdoor events when temperatures haven't climbed yet.
How much water does a water slide use? Most of our slides use a standard garden hose at low pressure — about the same as running a sprinkler. No special hookup needed.
Do I need a flat yard for a water slide? We need a reasonably level area — a slight slope is fine. Our crew will confirm suitability when they arrive.
