Rental Safety, Insurance & Rules — Grade A Rentals of Tampa

Grade A Rentals of Tampa carries $2 million commercial general liability insurance on every rental and has been an approved parks vendor for the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Pinellas County, and Pasco County continuously since 2013. Every inflatable unit is ASTM-compliant, cleaned, and safety-inspected before each delivery. Updated June 12, 2026.

Safety Compliance & Insurance

Commercial liability coverage: $2,000,000 per occurrence, $4,000,000 aggregate. Certificates of Insurance for parks, schools, HOAs, and corporate venues are emailed same day you request one — call 813-291-3953 with your additional-insured name and address. We're approved by City of Tampa Parks, Hillsborough County Parks, Pinellas County Parks, and Pasco County Parks. For school events, request the COI specifying your school district as additional insured and we'll have it to your event coordinator within hours. We are parks-approved, not school-district-approved vendors; the COI covers school events as a public-venue rental.

Equipment Safety Standards

All Grade A inflatables are ASTM F2374 and F1918 compliant (the industry standards for inflatable amusement devices). Every unit is cleaned and safety-inspected between rentals — we check the blower motor, seams, netting, anchor points, and entry/exit zones before each delivery. Units that don't pass are pulled from the schedule, not delivered. Setup includes ASTM-specified staking on grass (18-inch spiral stakes, 4 corners minimum) or sandbag anchoring on concrete. Every crew member follows ASTM-recommended setup procedures including proper blower placement and ground tether tension.

Rider Rules & Weight Limits

Standard bounce houses: combined weight capacity 750-1,000 lbs; max 8-12 children simultaneously. Water slides: one rider per lane at a time; no head-first sliding. Combo bouncers: weight per rider 200 lbs max on most units. Toddler units: ages 2-6 and 100 lb max. An adult supervisor (not a rider) must be present and watching the inflatable at all times during use. No flips, no rough play, no shoes, no sharp objects or eyeglasses in the bounce area. Food and drinks stay out of the inflatable.

Weather Policy

We deflate all inflatables when: sustained wind speeds exceed 20-25 mph (measured at the setup site), active lightning is within 8 miles, or sustained heavy rain creates pooling safety hazards in the bounce area. Light Florida afternoon rain does not automatically trigger deflation. If we deflate for weather and more than half your rental time has passed, we issue a rain credit good for 12 months. If deflation happens in the first half, we offer a reschedule or a prorated credit. No refunds are issued, per our terms of service — credits only.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations more than 7 days before your event: deposit credited for 12 months. Cancellations within 7 days: deposit is forfeited but order can be rescheduled to any open date within 12 months. Day-of cancellations (before 8 PM on the delivery day): deposit credited and a $75 dry-run fee may apply if our crew has already left the warehouse. We do not refund deposits — rain checks and credits only. See full policy at Terms of Service.

Setup Requirements

Inflatables require: a flat, level surface (slight slope OK; significant slope is not); a clear setup area (see dimensions in your booking confirmation); a 110-volt outlet within 50 feet for the blower; an adult supervisor present at all times. Overhead clearance: standard bounce houses need 15+ feet; water slides need up to 30 ft depending on height. No overhead power lines, tree branches, or obstructions within 10 feet of the unit. We confirm setup area before anchoring — if the space doesn't meet requirements we will not set up and no refund applies, so measure carefully.

Frequently Asked Questions — Safety & Insurance

Is Grade A Rentals insured? Yes. We carry $2 million commercial general liability insurance and have continuously since 2013. COI available same-day on request.

Are Grade A inflatables ASTM certified? Yes. All units meet ASTM F2374 and F1918 standards. We inspect every unit before each delivery and pull any that don't pass.

Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance for parks and schools? Yes. Call 813-291-3953 with your venue name and additional-insured address. We email the COI within hours. We're approved vendors for City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Pasco County, and Pinellas County parks.

What happens if there's lightning during our rental? We deflate when lightning is within 8 miles. If you're within your rental window we issue a rain credit, not a refund. We monitor the weather and will call you if we need to deflate ahead of your event.

Can adults jump in a bounce house? Yes — most units are rated 750-1,000 lbs combined. We recommend keeping adults and young children in separate sessions rather than jumping together to reduce the risk of smaller kids being knocked over.
